Hijacked cars recovered in Tsakani
Two hijacked cars were found at two addresses in Tsakani and one woman was arrested.
Tsakani – A 32-year-old woman was arrested on Tuesday for possession of an unlicensed firearm, ammunition, two hijacked cars and a pair of registration plates belonging to a hijacked car.
This is after police received a tip-off about two addresses in Tsakani which were allegedly harbouring criminals and where illegal and stolen property is kept.
Tsakani police spokesperson Sergeant Lerato Mngomezulu said during the search at the first address, an unlicenced firearm and a hijacked Nissan Almera were found.
“A Hyundai that was hijacked in Tsakani and pair a of registration plates of a Toyota Hilux, which was also hijacked in Tsakani, were found at the second address.
“Both recovered vehicles had the registration number plates,” she said.
