Addicts had fun while trying to regain families' trust.
Duduza – SANCA Alrapark had a family fun day at Duduza Park near Duduza Police Station on Friday. Among the invited guests were parents, siblings and children of SANCA clients together with clients.
The event was opened by a prayer followed by motivational talks from different speakers then followed by different games led by Eyethu Badminton Club. The games played included aerobics, rope pulling, egg race and air badminton.
SANCA Alrapark awareness coordinator Busisiwe Sibiya said, “The day was to have fun and play games while trying to mend broken relationships between families.
“We need our client’s families to trust them again and support them on their recovery journey.”
Sibiya said they brought Eyethu on board to facilitate the day’s activities, games and team building.
Eyethu director Samuel Mongala said, “We would like to work with SANCA to bring some of their addicts to our development to join us and be a part of us.
“It will assist them to get off the streets while fighting their addiction.”
