Youth informed of the services they can get in clinics
Kwa-Thema youth encouraged to follow a healthy lifestyle.
Kwa-Thema – Selope Thema Clinic Love Life held a youth zone launch on Thursday at the clinic.
The launch was aimed at promoting services found at the clinic which assist the youth and also provide them with information about subjects they might not be aware of.
Nelisiwe Hlongo, a love life groundbreaker at the clinic, mentioned some of the programmes include information on contraceptives and how they can be used, referrals and time.
“The youth between 10 and 24 years need to know that they can come to the clinic between 08:00 and 09:30 on weekdays, look for a groundbreaker and will receive help during that time.

“They don’t need to wait, especially if they are in school uniform or are going to work or for an interview,” said Hlongo.
Attendees enjoyed aerobics and a movie about vaccination. There were guests from SANCA, the Thabang Xaba Foundation, Siyanqoba and the ward councillor. The stalls included those for testing and vaccination.
Mafiye Zulu, a Ward 77 committee member who heads the health and social development sector in the ward, said, “This was a progressive programme as most of the youth who attended went for testing for HIV, blood pressure and diabetes.
“The programme was well attended,” said Hlongo.
