Tsakani and Duduza – Rand Water’s Mapleton and Zwartkoppies supply systems are slowly stabilising.
According to the City of Ekurhuleni, the reservoir levels as of Thursday morning were as follows:
• Xhosa Reservoir – 60%
• Tsakani Zulu Reservoir – 70%
• Duduza Reservoir – 45%
Water supply is currently being restored to high-lying areas such as Tsakani Extensions 12b, Nine, 10 and 17.
However, Langaville Ext 10, Tsakani Extensions 19, 20, and 21 are still experiencing supply interruptions.
In the meantime, the metro will be deploying seven roving water tankers in all the affected areas.
