Foundation celebrates top achievers

Local learners are encouraged to reach their full potential.

Tsakani – The top-performing learners from Masimong Foundation’s accounting, mathematics and physics private tutoring programme was celebrated at a prize-giving in Kwa-Thema on Saturday.

Sixteen learners who attained more than 60% and their parents were invited.

Those who performed below the required pass mark got a second chance in the programme to improve their marks.

Sandi Teka said the programme allows learners to realise their potential and achieve their aspirations.

“In early 2022, we adopted 32 Kwa-Thema learners from Tlakula High School and Kenneth Masikela Secondary School and enrolled them in one of the local tutoring institutions in the area.

“We started this project with the Grade 10s, 11s and 12s. We are proud that they achieved 70% and 85% in the subjects we enrolled them in,” she explained.
