Donate running shoes to Langaville Primary School’s athletes
Two runners from Langaville Primary School qualified for the national stage of the competition in Limpopo on September 30.
Langaville – Four learners from Langaville Primary School competed in the provincial cross-country championships at Hoerskool Suiderlig Vanderbijlpark on Saturday.
Thoko Ndlovu (10) finished sixth in the 2km girls’ U10, while Banele Ngqwala (11) also finished sixth in the 3km boys’ U11.
The two qualified for the national stage of the competition in Limpopo on September 30.
Unfortunately, their two team members, Promise Matotoka and Julia Makhubela, didn’t make it to the national leg of the competition.
Their coach, Lusia Sithole, said she was proud of the young runners for making it this far in the championships.

“This proves that their effort and hard work is paying off.
“We are now putting in the extra effort for the nationals as I believe they are capable of being crowned winners,” she said.
Sithole added that she was concerned about the learners not having training takkies to wear at the competition.
“Our school is in an informal settlement with learners coming from poor backgrounds. Many of their parents can’t afford to buy them the takkies.
“We are pleading to good Samaritans who can donate the running shoes for the learners to reach out,” she said.
