Nkomo-Gonela Holdings invites the youth to an expo

Nkomo-Gonela Holdings invites the youth to a job expo.

Kwa-Thema – Nkomo-Gonela Holdings, in partnership with the Gauteng Department of Education, will host the Jobs for Youth Expo on Wednesday (October 11-12) and Thursday at the Kwa-Thema Community Hall from 8am.

Nkomo-Gonela Holdings’ managing director, Bongane Luvalo, said this comes after they noticed a high unemployment rate in the community.

“The Gauteng government has tried to bring opportunities such as the Nasi’ Spani, but the truth is not everyone can be employed in government,” he said.

He said they would invite different sectors to provide young people with various opportunities, including internships, at-work integrated learning, entry-level jobs and more.

“We will also advise young people to follow the entrepreneurship route so they can create jobs for others,” he continued.

Luvalo said they would also have master classes to discuss job readiness.

The expo will have two parts – one will be the booths outside the hall from various sectors, and the second will be where the discussions will take place in the hall.

The focus will be on entrepreneurship, IT, financing and banking, and agriculture.
