Police investigate murder after woman found with gunshot wounds in Tsakani
Police are appealing for information after an unidentified woman was found with multiple gunshot wounds along Heidelberg Road in Extension 11.
Tsakani – Police are investigating the murder of an unidentified woman whose body was found along Heidelberg Road in Ext 11 on August 23.
According to Ekurhuleni SAPS district spokesperson Captain Neldah Sekgobela, officers responded to a murder report at about 08:25.
“Upon arrival, police found the half-naked body of an unidentified woman lying on the side of the road.
“The woman had sustained multiple injuries, including gunshot wounds to her lower and middle body,” she explained.
Paramedics certified her dead at the scene before her body was transported to the Springs Government Mortuary.

Police have yet to establish the identity of the deceased.
“The circumstances surrounding the murder remain unclear, with the method and instrument used in the killing currently unknown.
“The suspect or suspects have not been identified, and the motive for the killing is also unknown,” Sekgobela said.
Tsakane SAPS is appealing to anyone who may have information that could assist the investigation or help identify the suspect or suspects to come forward.
