School to raise fund for computers

Learners must be involved in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Kwa-Thema – In today’s rapidly evolving world, the Fourth Industrial Revolution is reshaping industries, economies and societies at an unprecedented pace.

Redumeletswe Primary School will host a fun day on October 21 to ensure children are prepared for this dynamic future.

School principal Johannes Kodisang said, “This fun day not only promises fun and enjoyment but also underscores the critical importance of embracing technology and innovation in education, especially for learners from disadvantaged backgrounds.”

Kodisang said the school was committed to revolutionising the e-learning space in the township.

“With learners from disadvantaged backgrounds, providing access to modern technology is not just an option; it’s a necessity,” he continued.

“The fun day serves a crucial purpose: to fundraise for the school and buy computers for our learners.

“These computers will serve as empowerment tools, enabling our learners to access a world of knowledge and opportunities that the Fourth Industrial Revolution offers,” Kodisang said.

Kodisang invites the community to join the school for an exciting day of unity and support. He said people could expect to be entertained by games and activities of all ages, from sack races to tug of war.

Food stalls, live entertainment and community bonding will be part of what the community can expect at the fun day.

“The success of this fun day is not just measured in laughter and joy but in the tangible difference it makes in the lives of our learners,” Kodisang said.

He said the community’s presence and support would contribute directly to providing children with the tools they needed to thrive in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

“Together, let’s pave the way for a brighter future where every child can excel and succeed in the digital age,” he concluded.
