Former learners raise funds for learners at their school

Tsakani – Former JE Malepe Secondary School learners gathered for their annual charity reunion at a local pub last Saturday.

One of the organisers, Vusumuzi Mabena, said the #JEMalepeReunionClass_CharityPicnic is an annual event they created through the community’s needs.

At the event, they accepted donations for the learners at the school.

At their first gathering in 2021, they raised R11 630, which they donated in the form of school uniform packs to needy learners handpicked with the help of the principal’s office.
