Dingaan family celebrates life and oneness

Jacob Dingaan said the get-together is an annual event with them, hopping from province to province to visit the hosting family and revive the relationships.

Tsakani – Christmas came early this year for the Dingaan clan when they came together to celebrate oneness, as part of the family’s annual reunion.

Over the years the event is celebrated during the December 16 holiday but this year they decided to meet earlier.

Family members came in droves from as far as Bloemfontein, Heidelberg, Kuruman, Pampierstad, Kimberly, Mahikeng, Tsakani, Thokoza, the Vaal, Katlehong and Ratanda.

Clad in their yellow golf shirts with the family elephant logo on the breast pocket and denims, they were a sight to see.

Jacob Dingaan said the get-together is an annual event with them, hopping from province to province to visit the hosting family and revive the relationships.

“Through this initiative, we are reviving the family, meeting new family members, resolving family challenges and teaching young people about their heritage and lineage.

“It is important for us that all young people know where we are from as a family, for them to pass the baton to the next generation,” he added.
