Police engage ward councillors to fight crime in Duduza
Duduza police spokesperson Sergeant Harry Manaka said this is a collaborative effort between the police and the community to prevent all crimes.
Duduza – To help fight crime in the area, Duduza police commander Lieutenant Colonel Patrick Qangase engaged with community leaders on Wednesday.
Ward councillors of wards 86, 87, 98 and 111, participated in the meeting.
Duduza police spokesperson Sergeant Harry Manaka said this is a collaborative effort between the police and the community to prevent all crimes.
“We are concerned about the rise in cases of GBV, contact and property-related crime, including trio crimes, especially in sector one and sector three,” he said.
Follow-up meetings will happen, with invitations to other role players. They will discuss projects for awareness campaigns.
