Thabang Xaba Foundation tries to fight bullying

Thabang Xaba Foundation to host an anti-bullying walk.

Kwa-Thema – In an effort to combat bullying and promote a positive environment for young minds, the Thabang Xaba Foundation is organising an anti-bullying fun walk for primary schools to take place on February 3 at the Bulithando Park.

The event aims to make the walk both educational and enjoyable for children, aligning with the African proverb ‘Ligotshwa lise-Manzi’, emphasising the importance of teaching the right values at a tender age.

Recognising the severe consequences of bullying, such as suicide and self-esteem issues in teenagers, the foundation is dedicated to addressing this issue through school visits during January and February.

The walk will feature engagement with various stakeholders and service providers to ensure the safety and enjoyment of the participating children.

A truck sound system will provide music during the walk, water will be available, and participants will receive T-shirts.

Additionally, the walk will include a colour run and various activities, including face painting with anti-bullying messages and anti-bullying slogan on hand-boards.

Foundation founder Thabang Xaba said all proceeds from the walk will go towards school shoes for different schools.

“Let’s unite against bullying and create a supportive environment for our children,” he said.

Tickets to join the walk are available at the Thabang Xaba Foundation office or by contacting 068 392 6765.
