Neo wins first place in provincial olympiad

Neo was thrilled with the tablet, bag, scientific calculator, trophy and medal which he received.

Langaville – Neo Mokoena has made Langaville Primary School proud again after he took the top spot in the provincial Maths Olympiad.

The Grade Seven learner had been anxiously waiting for the results for weeks. He was finally awarded at the ceremony held at Hoerskool Jeuland, in Kempton Park on Monday.

“I want to appreciate the efforts of all the mathematics teachers, from foundation phase to senior.

“This result shows that there is true collaboration among the teachers,” said the school’s principal Khosi Mahlangu.

Mahlangu noted that Neo has always been a star learner and shows no signs of slowing down.

Neo also won a tablet, bag, scientific calculator, trophy and medal for his excellent results.
