First Response Unit officers conduct crime prevention campaign in Tsakani
The EMPD aims to hold stop-and-search campaigns daily to prevent criminal activities.

Tsakani – EMPD First Response Unit officers help a stop-and-search operation in Tsakani on January 6.
“Officers searched vehicles, including drivers, passengers, and even pedestrians, as part of the stop-and-search campaign. The campaign includes crime prevention and police visibility and plays a vital role in the community.
“These types of operations can be expected daily,” said CoE spokesperson Zweli Dlamini, adding that the EMPD’s main objective is police visibility.
“Our presence must be felt as part of preventing crime before it even happens. We strive to be proactive rather than reactive,” Dlamini said.
