Hijacked car found stripped and abandoned in Tsakani after tracking tip-off.

Tsakani – EMPD Intervention Unit officers recovered a white Isuzu bakkie sought from a Thembisa case, in Tsakani on May 21.

City of Ekurhuleni spokesperson Zweli Dlamini said the EMPD Specialised Services officers in Tsakani received information about a suspected hijacked white Isuzu bakkie from a vehicle tracking company.

“With the help of tracking device coordinates, the officers went to Zulu Street, where they found the hijacked vehicle from

Thembisa abandoned and stripped near an open field, with no suspects in sight.

“The officers took the vehicle to the Aeroton police impound for further investigation and safekeeping,” he said.
