Kopano FC secures 2–1 victory over Bazozwa FC in U11 friendly showdown

Tsakani’s young football talents lit up the Ext 13 Green Point ground as Kopano FC edged out Bazozwa FC in a tightly contested U11 friendly match.

TSAKANI – Young footballers from Kopano FC and Bazozwa FC went head-to-head in an energetic U11 friendly match at the Green Point ground in Extension 13 on Friday, August 2.

From kick-off, both teams showed determination and focus, with coaches urging their players on in a fast-paced, high-intensity game. Despite numerous attempts, the first half ended goalless – a result that frustrated both sides’ technical teams.

“The game was fast-paced and tough. Both teams were beyond determined to win. Each side created opportunities. As a coach, I kept the players motivated and encouraged teamwork,” said Kopano FC coach Tisetso Mofokeng.

Kopano FC broke the deadlock shortly after the second half began, and the momentum stayed on their side. They went on to secure a 2–1 victory.

“It wasn’t easy beating our opponents – they’re a strong and competitive team that always finds ways to challenge us. But we made the most of our chances, kept the same pace and spirit, and I’m proud of the boys,” Mofokeng added.

The Bazozwa FC coach declined to comment after the match.
