Help Zanele represent Ekurhuleni at netball champs

Zanele Khoza (24) from Kwatsaduza is calling on the public to help her raise R7 500 to represent Ekurhuleni at the SPAR National Netball Championships.

Tsakani – Zanele Khoza (24) is pleading with the Kwatsaduza community to assist her in raising R7 500. Khoza was selected to represent the Ekurhuleni Netball Association’s senior ladies’ squad at the SPAR National Netball Championships from November 30 to December 7.

The amount needed will cover her expenses for the upcoming championships. Khoza started playing netball in 2010 while at Khombindlela Primary School.

Introduced to it by her teacher, it quickly became a hobby she loved. She credits netball with shaping her life and giving her purpose.

“It keeps me focused and always striving to improve,” she said.

She is beyond eager and determined to participate in the upcoming championships.

“Being selected to participate in the SPAR National Netball Championships is a dream come true. Netball is beyond just a sport to me; it is part of my passion, escape and way of expressing strength, teamwork and discipline. It has shaped who I am today and continues to give me purpose.

“I need support in making my dream a reality. I humbly ask for support from the community to help me raise the required amount to cover my travel, accommodation and participation costs.

“Every contribution, no matter how small, brings me one step closer to representing my team and making my dreams a reality,” explained Khoza.

Khoza earned her spot after trials at the Atlasville Netball Court in Pretoria and received confirmation of her selection on April 5. She looks to professional netballer Tarle Mathe for inspiration.

“The way she plays inspires confidence, determination and goal-setting in me. This journey is not just for me; it is for my peers, family, and, most importantly, my community,” she added.

She thanked her family for their ongoing support as well as her coach.
