San Michele residents enjoy music, games, and fun

Birthday Parties, Tour arrangements, Heritage Day celebrations by residents and staff alike.

Heritage Day turned out to be a lively celebration at San Michele Home for disabled adults, with everybody making an effort to dress up.

Spirits were high with music, laughter, dancing, singing, cheering, whistling, and clapping. It was truly a day celebrating diverse heritages and cultures.

Traditional boeresport included three-legged races, a tug-of-war, wheelchair races, and beanbag walks. The flag of the day was won by Ilanga, with Germany a close second. The winning team was the Zulu team.

“The day was worth every smile, every cheer, and every high five. Well done, San Michele residents and staff – you all are awesome,” said Jenny van Graan, the home’s marketing consultant.

The home reminds the community about its upcoming open day on November 1, which will take place at the home at the corner of Hannes Visagie and Mouton streets in Withok.
