Rising stars: Eastern Talented Academy calls on top clubs to partner for change
Eastern Talented Academy’s young squads are proving that football is more than just a game.
In a thrilling display of skill and determination, Eastern Talented Academy’s U11, U13, U15 and U17 teams have been making waves in the football scene, leaving fans and scouts in awe.
Last weekend, the U11 team thrashed Langaview U11 7-1 in the Eastern Junior Rotation League. The teams have bigger goals than just winning matches.
They want to give back to their communities, using football to create positive change and uplift their hometowns.
“We want to create a pipeline of talented players who can go on to play for top teams and return to their communities to make a difference,” said a team representative.
“We’re calling on businesses, individuals and top teams like Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs to partner with us and help nurture the next generation of football stars,” added Asher ‘Masakhane’ Manasoe.
The Eastern Junior Rotation League saw some exciting matches on Saturday, November 8.

*Eleven Attackers 2-1 Langaview
In the U11 log standings, ETA is leading the pack, followed by Tigers United with three points. Langaview is in second place, Sparrows third, Eleven Attackers fourth and still looking for their first point. Early Birds are fifth.
Eastern Talented Academy is looking for opponents for friendly matches and tournaments.
“If you’re a team looking for a challenge, we invite you to join us. We’re also open to hosting joint matches and tournaments with other teams in our group, including our netball teams. We want teams that can push us to our limits and help us improve our game,” said Manasoe.
The league will rotate around different venues in Eastern Gauteng, giving teams the chance to play against different opponents and gain valuable experience.
“Our league is a great opportunity for teams to develop their skills and compete against other talented teams. We welcome teams of all levels to join us and be part of the fun,” he said.
