EMPD unveils new fleet to enhance policing
The EMPD unveiled a new fleet aimed at improving service delivery and response times.
The EMPD recently unveiled a new fleet of 68 vehicles: 50 VW Polos, 10 VW GTIs and eight BMW motorcycles.
CoE spokesperson Zweli Dlamini said the vehicles will enhance productivity and improve service delivery in the city.
“This will also ensure that metro police officers respond quickly and efficiently to crime scenes or complaints. For the police to have the resources to visibly police and tackle any challenges in communities is imperative.
“We appeal to the public to report any abuse of the new vehicles. They are counted on to serve the public and guard the police against unlawful acts,” explained Dlamini.
“The new fleet will assist in effective law enforcement and safer communities,” Dlamini said.
