Faith Christian Centre music director Muziwamadoda Jafta laid to rest

Faith Christian Centre church congregant Muziwamadoda Pearls Jafta is remembered for his musical brilliance, deep commitment to prayer and lasting impact on both the church and industry.

Deceased: Muziwamadoda Pearls Jafta (49) was born on November 13, 1976 and died on February 10, 2026.

Community: At the time of his death, Jafta was a congregant of Faith Christian Centre Church and served as the music director for years.

Apart from his musical genius, Jafta was known for his commitment to prayer. His love for music started as a young boy.

After studying sound engineering at East Side College in Johannesburg, he met and worked with the likes of the Jaziel Brothers, Houza, Kagiso Modupe and many more.

Family: He is survived by his mother, Sophie; brothers, Luvuyo, Andile, and Monwabisi; and his children, Unathi, Ayanda, Luyanda, Bandile, and Uzanokuhle.

Funeral: He was laid to rest on February 17 at the Petersfield Cemetery.
