Phooko to join various artists on stage

The artist from Kwa-Thema will grace the stage alongside legendary jazz artists for the Lwanda Gogwana Songbook Chapter II.

Kwatsaduza – Local visual artist Nico Phooko will be part of the Lwanda Gogwana Songbook Chapter II that will take place on September 22 at De Korte Street, Braamfontein.

Nico Phooko is excited about the coming event.

Phooko will be painting live on stage during the event.
The event will be attended by various afro jazz artists including McCoy Mrubata who recently received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the South African Music Awards.

“This novel entertainment genre becomes a truly unforgettable part of the event, which is captured and memorialised as an artwork. I will be sharing a stage with the country’s highly revered jazz musicians. What I have been doing has gained traction internationally,” said Phooko.
The show will be hosted by Nothemba Madumo.
