Tsakani residents demand justice for murdered Tinny Nkgudi
Trial date for Tinny's alleged killer is set for April 19.
Tsakani – The 53-year-old man who allegedly murdered his wife Tinny Nkgudi (51) in their home in Ext 6 appeared before the Tsakani Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.
The case has been moved to the Regional Magistrate’s Court for April 19 where the trial is set to start.

Tinny’s body was found by her daughter Carol Modjadji in the bathroom with multiple injuries to her head and body.

Outside the court concerned residents and members of ActionSA’s Social Distress Project led by the former MMC of Health and Social Development in Ekurhuleni picketed demanding justice for Tinny.
Speaking outside of the court, regional secretary Siyanda Makhubo said, “Women are dying at the hands of men who claim to love them and nothing is being done.
“Those arrested for allegedly perpetrating such violent crimes pose serve threat to community safety, as well as the mental and emotional well-being of ordinary citizens.
“Those on trial for violating human rights should not enjoy the freedom afforded by such rights until they are proven innocent,” she added.
