Car stolen in Mpumalanga recovered in Langaville

EMPD spokesperson Lieutenant Kelebogile Thepa said the the victim alleged that when he woke up on Friday morning, he discovered his vehicle was stolen.

Tsakani – Members of the EMPD recovered a stolen white light delivery vehicle in the Langaville area on Friday.

The officers were following up on information, and on their arrival, they identified a vehicle matching the description given and thoroughly checked it.

EMPD spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Kelebogile Thepa said the officers discovered the vehicle was registered to a 46-year-old male from Mbalenhle in Mpumalanga.

“The victim alleged that when he woke up on Friday morning, he discovered his vehicle was stolen.

“The victim then contacted his vehicle tracking company to locate it, and the tracking company confirmed its whereabouts. He proceeded to open a case docket at the Mbalenhle Police Station,” she said.

The yard in which the vehicle was found allegedly belongs to a male who lives with his children. He fled the scene before the officers arrived.

“The car was taken to Aeroton police yard for safekeeping. Although there were no arrests, the officers will stop at nothing to bring the perpetrators to book,” added Thepa.
