EMPD arrests suspects found with crystal meth in Duduza

The EMPD carried out an operation in the Duduza and Benoni areas where a total of 10 men were arrested for various charges including contravening the Immigrations Act, possession of illegal substances and assault.

Duduza – The EMPD arrested 10 men aged between 20 and 45 for various crimes during an operation in Duduza and Benoni on May 22.

According to the EMPD, officers were conducting routine checks on Mtetwa Street when they stopped three men walking along the road.

“They were uncooperative during questioning. A search revealed packets of crystal meth in each suspect’s possession, 10 ziplock bags, with an estimated street value of R2 000,” the EMPD said.
