Nkosinathi Mbonani Foundation and partners uplift Tsakani Ext 6 residents on Mandela Day
The Nkosinathi Mbonani Foundation, together with its partners, celebrated Mandela Day by serving warm meals, donating stationery and distributing pre-loved clothing to residents of Tsakani Ext 6.
Tsakani – The Nkosinathi Mbonani Foundation, in partnership with Moving Virtuously And Proudly (MVP) and the Local Government Sector Education and Training Authority, held a Mandela Day commemoration on July 17.
The initiative was held in Tsakani Ext 6.
“It was a day full of laughter and great joy as we tackled the socio-economic challenges that the people from Ext 6 face on a regular basis.
“This includes food scarcity,” explained Nkosinathi Mbonani.
The organisation served warm meals, donated gift bags full of stationery items and had a section where community members could pick pre-loved clothing items that they liked.
Mbonani thanked his partners for making the day a success.
He said the foundation remains committed to addressing the needs of vulnerable communities through ongoing outreach programmes and partnerships that promote dignity, hope and sustainable community development beyond Mandela Day.
