Kwa-Thema elderly receive blankets in heartwarming outreach on Older Persons Day

The Kwa-Thema Society for the Care of the Aged celebrated International Older Persons Day with a heartwarming outreach led by Zig Zag founder Sibusiso Mkhwanazi.

Kwa-Thema – The Kwa-Thema Society for the Care of the Aged (KSCA) were the recipients of a heartwarming outreach on International Older Person Day.

The founder of Zig Zag, Sibusiso Mkhwanazi, recently spent the day with the beneficiaries. The old folk were gifted with blankets.

Local councillors were also present and they were requested to bring along elderly people from their wards to join in the celebration.

Mkhwanazi and his associates planned and executed the entire event, including the programme for the day, the signage, PA system, lunch and beverages.

“The highlight of the event was when the beneficiaries and visiting older persons received their blankets – as well as the employees.

“The gift was a thank you gesture for the work they do looking after the older people in their care, said Mkhwanazi.

In his speech, Mkhwanazi urged the elderly to pray against gender-based violence and femicide. He also pledged to take the KSCA under his wing going forward.
