NOTIFICATION OF AN APPLICATION FOR ENVIRONMENTAL AUTHORISATION Notice is given, in terms of the NATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT ACT (Act No 107 of 1998) and the 2014 EIA Regulations, as amended, that an application for Environmental Authorisation is lodged with the Department of Forestry, Fisheries & the Environment (DFFE).

Location: It is situated on Portion 10 of Palmietkuilen 241 IR, 8 km east of Springs, 2.5 km north of the R29 and falls under the jurisdiction of the Lesedi Local Municipality, Sedibeng District Municipality, Gauteng.
Project Description: The project will evacuate electricity to the national grid via the Eskom Nevis MTS. The facility will consist of a BESS, substation and switching station, Operations & Maintenance buildings and a laydown area within a fenced area of approximately 10 hectares. The Grid Connection Corridor is 769 m in length and 595 m wide.
