High school is done and dusted; many are gearing up for university to further their studies.
I will be sharing some tips on how make the best of your time in varsity:
Try different things and see what you are passionate about.
Inside the classroom and outside of it, you will start to get a better idea of who you are and what drives you.
Going to university is you embarking on a journey, one that is filled with highs and lows, but a passage to growth and development.
University is more than merely sitting in the classroom day in and day out.
There is plenty a person can do at university to uplift and educate themselves.
To grow as an individual, find their purpose and further their passions.
And also uncover their hidden talent.
Become involved in programmes offered at varsity and make use of the facilities provided for you, while leaving room for being silly.
This is one opportunity that I would suggest you grab with both hands; seize the moment because chances are you might never ever get it again.
Extracurricular or extra academic activity are activities offered by tertiary institutions which fall outside the realm of the normal curriculum of university education, performed by students.
Extracurricular activities exist for all students.
And generally, volunteer activities aren’t always extracurricular activities.
Almost anything that you are actively and productively involved in can be considered an extracurricular activity.
Outside of class, activities can be very beneficial to students and it is also a fun way of taking time off from your studies.
It is also a great way to make new friends and learn new things.
If a job opportunity presents itself, do not hesitate, better yet start working while you still in varsity for experience which may be very valuable for your personal development and enhancing your curriculum vitae.
It teaches you discipline and time management skills, helps you think out of the box, can help you succeed in much more than your academic endeavours.
A well rounded student experience demonstrates initiative, curiosity, independence, personality and eventually a diverse skill set and versatility.
Cheers to new beginnings and wishing you all the best with your new journey.
