Schools’ sports tournament to end this week

The tournament took a break for exams.

Duduza – The Jobe Foundation’ Schools’ Sports Tournament will resume on Thursday and take place over two days at the Duduza Stadium from 10:00 each day. The tournament launched in August but took a break because of exams in the third and fourth terms.

“We have to complete what we started. The exams have passed, and the learners will soon get their reports,” said Duduza Schools’ sports co-ordinator Mzwandile Sibiya.

Sibiya said some learners will leave primary school for high school, while others will leave Grade 12 for higher education.

“This is why we must complete the tournament this year,” he continued.

The competition started with 13 primary and six secondary schools playing netball and soccer. There are now four schools left in each category.
