Kwa-Thema netball team builds stronger bonds during Suikerbosrand hike

Players swapped the netball court for the hiking trails of Suikerbosrand Nature Reserve, where teamwork, trust and communication took centre stage during a team-building outing.

The Kwa-Thema netball team went on a hike at Suikerbosrand Nature Reserve on July 11 as part of team-building.

Their coach, Lebohang Bangani, emphasised the importance of team-building, saying it strengthens the team.

“I watched my players help, encourage and support each other along the routes. This enforces the need for such support within the group, prompting them to walk collaboratively,” she said.

“Experiences like these help build trust, communication and unity, which are just as important on the court as they are off it.”

The hike formed part of the team’s ongoing efforts to build stronger relationships beyond the netball court.

She added that the experience strengthened the bond between players and highlighted the value of teamwork in achieving success.
