U11 Kwa-Thema Netball Team settles for silver after tough League final
Kwa-Thema Netball Team overcame tactical challenges in the Sub Region-E League Finals and won silver medals at the Tsakani Stadium.
The U11 netball teams of Ulinda and Kwa-Thema recently went head-to-head at the Tsakani Stadium in the Sub Region-E League Finals.
Both teams displayed strong performances and showed commitment and determination despite every obstacle they had to overcome.

Kwa-Thema ultimately settled for silver, finishing the tournament with an 8-4 result in the final match.
“We ended up scoring more goals than expected and adapted well after losing our goal attacker in the final stages of the tournament,” said team coach Lebohang Bangani.

“Kelebogile ‘Ngubo’ Mofokeng was moved from goal defender to goal attacker and made an immediate impact, scoring more than expected and capitalising on the turnovers created by the team.
“The midcourt players also delivered a solid performance, maintaining their channels and structure throughout the match.”

Bangani added that management was critical of tactical decisions made during the final, particularly the decision not to move Mofokeng back to goal defender when the team needed to create more turnovers.
The teams were level at the end of the second quarter, but the lack of tactical changes and time-outs was costly as the match progressed. Ulinda’s coach could not be reached for comment.
