Tumelo to record live DVD
Duduza - Generations the Legacy’s soapie star Tumelo Matlala will be recording his first live Gospel CD/DVD.
Born, bred and raised in Duduza, Tumelo Matlala is among the bright lights in this industry.
Tumelo says his career started ten years ago, when he sang with the Sikhalo Male voices.
“In 2008 I decided to go solo and recorded my first solo album titled Mzalwane.
“I am currently on my second album entitled Blessed Generation Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Tumelo,” he says.
Tumelo is not only a talented singer, but has also added acting and modelling to his list of achievements.
“I have been cast in various television adverts for brands such as MTN, Standard Bank, FIFA Confederation Cup, Old Mutual 2-in-1 Savings Plan.
“I am currently playing the role of Detective Roberts, Generations the Legacy on SABC1, and am a cast member of Mzansi Magic’s hit Zabalaza.
“I also held acting roles in Rhythm City, and Mzansi Magic series Naledi, Mama Stole my Hunk.
“On the film production side I was the head researcher for SABC1 Speak Out in 2016.
“I am currently a head researcher and content director for SABC1 reality shows, namely, Kulcha Kwest and Nyan’Nyan from May 2015.
On June 9, Tumelo will be recording his live CD/DVD at Springs Theatre.
