Local rapper’s song to play on national television
The artist’s song, which was released in March, will be featured on popular South African television soapie Generations: The Legacy.
Duduza – Young rapper Anele Khonto (21), known by his stage name Rlord, is celebrating a major achievement with his latest single.

The song, Gadaffi, was inspired by the character from the soapie played by actor Vuyo Dabula.

“The song will be featured on the soapie on March 17 at 8pm.
“When the song came out it caught people’s attention to a point whereby Vuyo himself tweeted about it.
“Shortly afterwards, I got a call from the producers of the show, I was then invited to the studio,” recalled Khonto.
The song has a music video that was uploaded on his YouTube channel.
“I was so surprised and excited to just get the invite, it was a dream come true for me.
“Hopefully, one day I will return as an actor,” he said.
He has a new single which is set to be released on February 1, titled Thuma mina featuring Lungile.

“This year I am looking to work extremely hard and produce more music.
“This song is a gospel-inspired hip-hop song; 2020 was a rough year for everyone. Therefore, I am thanking God for keeping us sane and alive.
“I feel a lot of people will relate and draw strength from the song,” he said.
The music video for the song will drop on February 14 on YouTube and will be made available on all digital platforms.
