Easy Saturday craft: DIY paperweights for kiddos
Your child will enjoy spending a morning with mom or dad making a découpage paperweight using scrap fabric and modpodge.
Are you looking for a fun craft activity to do with your kiddos today? These brightly coloured paperweights are a fun weekend project for kids of all ages.
What you’ll need
Some smooth garden rocks
- Fabric scraps
- A foam brush
- Découpage glue or modpodge
How to make it
- To begin, cut little pieces of old fabric. On the rock, apply a layer of découpage glue or modpodge the size of the fabric piece.
- Place the fabric piece on the rock.
- Continue until all of the rock has been covered.
- Check that all of the edges of the fabric pieces are securely connected to the rock. If needed, apply more découpage glue or modpodge.
- Allow at least 15 minutes for drying.
