Children enjoy faith-filled outreach event at Baal Perazim Christian Home

An outreach event in Kwa-Thema brought children together for games and gospel teachings while encouraging parents to take an active role in their children’s spiritual growth.

Kwa-Thema – Baal Perazim Christian Home hosted an outreach event on April 12 where children across Kwatsaduza enjoyed engaging activities.

The purpose of the event was to bring joy to the children, as well as to teach them the importance of knowing about God and having a relationship with Him.

Sunday school teacher Karabo Sello said parent participation is crucial in a child’s learning journey.

“As much as we teach these children about what we do every week at Sunday school, we also want parents to understand the importance of showing interest in what their children are learning to encourage them to be consistent,” she said.

During the event, the children engaged in activities like poetry, dancing, bible trivia and scripture recital.

Pastor Bonginkosi Zwane arranged for the children to each receive gifts, and 150 gift boxes were handed out. They comprised colouring-in books, toys, a Bible, and a book called Greatest Journey.

“There is nothing more powerful than teaching the youth how to pray for themselves. This is why we encourage them to read the word even when they are at home so they know that all things are possible with God.

“It’s a foundation that helps them grow up to be leaders of tomorrow,” Zwane said.
