Black Pirates secure 2-1 win over Ballers FC in hard-fought Thembisa encounter
Despite a spirited comeback, Ballers FC fell 2-1 to Black Pirates at Esiqongweni Ground in Thembisa.
Tsakani – Ballers FC recently went head-to-head with Black Pirates at the Esiqongweni Ground in Thembisa.
The away game was won by Black Pirates, although both teams put up a fight. Ballers FC coach, Mafika Magana, said he was not pleased with how the game played.
“The first half we started on a shaky note, but 10 minutes later, our headspace readjusted into the game.
“Opponents scored early in the game, but we managed to equalise. Immediately after our goal, our opponents scored again. When they scored again, it was a call for better performance,” he said.

He mentioned that his team tried their best to mark the ball as effectively as possible. The coach substituted players in the second half in the hope of a change in the field.
“We created chances but did not finish as expected. The boys applied pressure, but the second half just did not play in our favour,” he added.
Magana mentioned that he was happy with how his team performed, saying they tried their best.
The game concluded 2-1, a win for Black Pirates. Their coach could not be reached for comment.
