Andries Raditsela Clinic launches Saturday operating hours to improve healthcare access
The clinic now operates every Saturday to make primary healthcare more accessible for Ekurhuleni residents.
Tsakani – The Gauteng Department of Health has extended operating hours at the Andries Raditsela Primary Health Care Clinic, with Saturday services having commenced on July 4.
According to Gauteng Department of Health spokesperson Steve Mabona, the clinic now operates from 08:00 to 14:00 every Saturday as part of efforts to improve access to primary healthcare services in the Ekurhuleni District.
The extended operating hours are intended to assist residents who are unable to visit the clinic during normal weekday hours due to work, school, caregiving responsibilities, or other commitments.
Community members are encouraged to make use of the additional service hours to access primary healthcare services, collect medication where applicable, attend scheduled clinic appointments and continue adhering to their treatment plans.
Mabona said the department remains committed to delivering accessible, people-centred and quality healthcare services.
“The Ekurhuleni District Health Services will continue to monitor the implementation of the extended operating hours to ensure that the initiative responds to the healthcare needs of the community,” he said.
The department encouraged residents to make use of the Saturday service to improve continuity of care and access to essential healthcare services.
