Over spilled sewage floods the entire land of home

Catastrophic amount of sewage on land of residents

EARLY morning October 24, spillage of sewage onto the ground of a home in Dewittsrus Alberton North had moved towards the other end of the ground. This issue has extending well over a twelve year period, and nothing more has been done.

According to Francois van de Merwe, who for the first time has been in contact telephonically, he says he is not allowed to make any official media comments as it must be directed to the media liaison officer. He then provided contact details for Agnes Misilo.

The phone call on October 24 to 011 999 0169 continually rang without being answered around 08:52, and again shortly after. A call to Sam Modiba was made at 09:21 to find information, but also no answer on 011 999 0094. Then shortly after, a call to his cellphone lead straight to voice mail. Sam had given e-mail addresses to send the requested info at around 14:00 (telephonic call).

“There is always an excuse on their side,” said a community member without stating anything further.

The stench and condition is completely hazardous, considering previous tests have shown some type of species best known as salmonella enterica which can cause a lot of problems, and further tests need to be done.

No response to the media had been received by around 12:10 October 25. The community wait for a response.
