Boy (12) knocked over in Alberton

The boy was crossing the road when he was hit by a vehicle.

ALRODE — A boy, believed to be 12 years old, was knocked down by a car in Hennie Alberts Street, in Alrode, Alberton earlier last night 10 September.

According to Chitra Bodasing, an ER24 spokesperson it is believed that the boy was crossing the road when he was knocked down.

She said ER24 and provincial paramedics arrived on scene and found that the boy was in a critical condition.

“Paramedics treated him and transported him to the Natalspruit Hospital for further medical care.”

Authorities were on scene for further investigations.
