Four injured in collsion

A driver was ejected about 15 metres from his vehicle after a high-speed head-on collision opposite the Mall of the South.

ALBERTON – Kevin Peel, spokesperson for National Paramedical Services (NPS), said four people were injured.

β€œIt appears that two vehicles were speeding when the collision happened at the intersection of Swartkoppies Road and Kliprivier Drive at around midnight on October 2.”

He said a vehicle allegedly skipped a red traffic light which led to the collision.

β€œA severely injured driver was found a few metres from his vehicle and was transported to the Netcare Union Hospital.”

Three other passengers were taken to the Chris Hani-Baragwanath Hospital.
