UPDATE: Parts of Alberton without water

The RECORD will keep you updated.

PARTS of Alberton is without water due to a collapsed wall in an underground chamber.

It was caused by the rain.

Workers are on site to rectufy the problem.

Engineers are now opening the zone valves to try and give New Redruth, Raceview, Verwoerpark, Florentia and Alberante water.

According to councillor Bruna Haipel the enigineer is assessing  the situation.

 

“They will let me know if water tankers are required depending on the time it will take to repair,” said Bruna

 

Eden Park and Kathelong is also without water, but the problem is not related.
