Security companies and police join forces

AN INTER-ORGANISATIONAL operation between the police and security companies recently led to several arrests.

Alberton and Brackendowns SAPS, the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD), AfriForum, Alberton and Brackendowns CPF, and various security companies including CPS, Fox, SOG, D&D Tactical, 4th Dimension, ADT and SWS were all involved.

On Friday, March 17, Alberton SAPS arrested one suspect for dealing in dagga and another for possession of live munitions.

Brackendowns SAPS in turn arrested one suspect for dealing in nyaope.

All suspects were expected to appear at the Palmridge Magistrate’s Court on Monday, March 20.

“On behalf of SAPS, I would like to thank everyone involved in the fight against crime and I believe together we can,” says Lindi Moloi, spokesperson for the Brackendowns police.
