CPS Security is asking residents to again be extra vigilant and alerted as crime is on the rise in the Alberton area.
“Our reaction units have come across two properties in the New Redruth area whereby suspects placed insulation tape over the Gate IR sensors,” said Tyrone van der Merwe, sales director.
According to Van der Merwe when the gate opens it doesn’t close as the sensor detects a blockage of the signal meaning that criminals can easily follow residents into their properties to commit housebreak-ins.
“Please be alert and report any suspicious activity to your local security company or your local police station.”
