Fox security nabbed one suspect who had allegedly disarmed a security guard at The Glen Shopping Centre on September 9.
According to Francois Jansen of Fox Security, at least three suspects were involved in the incident, however, two suspects fled the scene.
“A security guard from a security company saw these suspects sitting in a vehicle, he approached and told them to either go inside the mall or to leave the property. As he walked away he noticed that the vehicle’s number plate was tied with a piece of string. As he kept looking, the suspects disarmed him and fled,” he said.
Jansen told the CHRONICLE that the suspects then fired shots at them as they fled the scene.
“The one suspect was later apprehended by mall security and Fox security. Fox paramedics assisted the suspect that was apprehended and the firearm was recovered while two suspects fled the scene,” he said.
