A report from a victim of crime resulted in the immediate arrest of a suspect who had allegedly hijacked a motorbike on September 4.
The victim was hijacked of his motorbike and after seeing it in the Alberton area he rushed to the Alberton Police Station to report the incident.
According to Capt Manare Ramotshela, spokesperson for Alberton SAPS, the men in blue rushed to the scene, where the bike was recovered.
“The suspect was approached and informed the bike was reported stolen. The suspect was then informed of his constitutional rights and arrested. The bike was taken in and stored for the lawful owner to collect it,” he said.
Ramotshela also thanked the community for working hand in hand with them to combat crime.
