The City of Ekuruhuleni (CoE) encourages people to hire skip bins for their building to contain their building rubble.
According to the City, building rubble lying around is not only an eyesore but harmful to the environment.
The CoE offers a skip bin hire service where the residents can hire a six cubic meter rubble container for the duration of the customer’s requirement.
The fee for the hire is R1 221.15. Furthermore, customers do not always have to walk to their nearest depots to hire the skip bins.
It can be done at their convenience telephonically by providing all required information electronically and the bin will be delivered within 24 to 48 hours from date of application.
Documents required for the application include water and lights account and the client’s ID document.
