Man caught with narcotics in Eden Park

The suspect is facing charges of possession and possible dealing in illicit substance.

A man was arrested during a crime prevention operation in and and around Eden Park on October 21.

The EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit members arrested a male who was in possession of narcotics and cash.

“At 10.40amm officers approached the suspect who was found on Cembe Street. Officers uncovered 12 ziplocks of khat and 24 ziplocks of crystal meth valued at R9 600, with R500 cash,” said Kobeli Mokheseng, EMPD spokesperson.

The suspect is facing charges of possession and possible dealing in illicit substance.

He will appear in court soon.
