Tutela grateful for support from community members

Tutela Alberton (formerly known as CMR Alberton) held their AGM on October 22 at the NG Brackenhurst Church.

“Four plus three equals 6 012. For a mathematics clever person, this does not sound like good maths, but in social work this makes a 100 per cent sense.

“If you utilise four social workers and three auxiliary workers, 6 012 people’s lives will be touched. This is the total number of people who were reached in a year of social work service delivery,” said Trienie Drotschie, director.

According to Trienie, 351 871 meals were served through Tutela’s KFC and Hope feeding schemes.

Members of Tutela also made use of this opportunity to thank each community member who contributed from financial donations, food, support and prayers.

“Tutela cannot make a difference in the community as an island. Tutela needs and welcomes all support received from the community. Together we can make a difference,” Trienie concluded.
